O my word!! It was absolutely glorious! The array of baked goods on display was nothing short of a feast for the senses, with each item more tempting than the last.

The delightful aromas wafting through the air were enough to make anyone's mouth water, and some of the treats even came straight from the oven, warm and inviting, just waiting to be devoured!

We initiated this monthly Bake Stand not just as a community event, but also to raise awareness and funds for our local Medically Confined Veterans . It is crucial to support those who have given so much for our country, and through this effort, we aim to shine a light on their needs while also providing a platform for community engagement and support.

Initially, I was somewhat skeptical about whether this Bake Stand would be successful or if people would even show interest.

However, I felt a strong sense of conviction that The Lord was urging me to pursue this initiative, and so I decided to go ahead with it.

My husband dedicated two full days to meticulously putting together the stand, ensuring everything was just right for our opening day. A kind gentleman from our church generously donated the racks needed to display our baked goods, which was a tremendous help. As word spread, people from our community began to step up and volunteer their time and baking skills, contributing an impressive variety of treats.

We had planned to officially open the stand at 11 AM, but to our surprise, by 9 AM, eager customers were already arriving, excitedly browsing and purchasing items before we had even officially started! It was a heartwarming sight to see the community come together in such a supportive manner.

As for my own baking, I was particularly anxious about the sourdough bread I had made. I am still learning the craft, and I hoped it turned out well. Thankfully, I didn’t receive any calls complaining about it, which I took as a good sign! It seems that my efforts were appreciated, and that gave me a boost of confidence.

In the meantime, the atmosphere was simply wonderful. Neighbors came out in droves, showing their generosity and support for the cause. Many expressed their excitement about helping the veterans, and some even inquired if we could make this Bake Stand a weekly event. While I would love to accommodate that request, I had to explain that I work three jobs, which makes it quite challenging to commit to a weekly schedule. However, I assured them that we would definitely be back for the next event!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated and supported our Bake Stand. Your generosity and enthusiasm made the day a resounding success!

We look forward to seeing everyone again on October 4 at 9:30 AM for our next gathering. It promises to be another delightful experience filled with community spirit and delicious treats!

And of course, I cannot forget to mention that our beloved service dogs , Molly and Birdie, were on hand to keep everyone safe and add a touch of joy to the event.

Their presence brought smiles to many faces, and they enjoyed the attention just as much as we enjoyed having them there!

A friend of mine has a son who is handicapped, and she was in urgent need of assistance to get to a facility where she could pick up some essential supplies for him.

She called me up one day and asked, "Could you take us?"

Without hesitation, I replied, "Well, sure!"

However, little did I know what awaited me on this journey ... I would have to DRIVE ON THE INTERSTATE!

As we were driving along, she casually mentioned, "Oh, you will have to turn onto the Interstate."

WHAT?? I cried out in sheer panic, "I can't merge!"

In that moment of distress, she began to pray for our safety, and I found myself crying out in the Holy Spirit, desperately seeking divine intervention. I closed my eyes, lifted my hands in surrender, and somehow, we made it onto the Interstate! I was filled with a sense of relief and gratitude, praising God for the miraculous journey. Then, in that moment of praise, He spoke to me, saying, "Don't do that again. Just do it!"

This experience turned out to be a valuable lesson in trusting God and stepping out of my comfort zone.

Redemption came later when my little family was returning from a visit to our relatives in Wisconsin. We encountered a horrible blizzard, and it became a race against time to get back home safely.

The snow was falling so heavily that we were barely moving. What was supposed to be a three-hour drive turned into a grueling ordeal, and we found ourselves still three hours away from home, battling the elements.

The snow was relentless, and eventually, we managed to reach a gas station after navigating through a treacherous landscape filled with stranded cars and trucks that had veered off the Interstate.

We prayed for everyone caught in the storm, but what happened next was nothing short of a MIRACLE!

As we pulled into the gas station, I felt the urgent need to get out of the truck, but my family bluntly told me, "The snow is too deep; stay in the truck."

Despite their warnings, I opened the door and was immediately met with the realization that the snow was indeed deep.

However, I noticed a small red car covered in snow, yet it was running. I felt compelled to walk over to that car and knocked on the window.

Inside, there were two women who looked just as scared and trapped as we were, but then GOD spoke to me.

He instructed me to tell them, "IF YOU PRAY, HE WILL STOP THE SNOW."

They rolled down the window, and a cloud of smoke filled the air from the car's heater.

I asked them if they were okay, and they replied, "Yes, but we are cold."

I shared with them, "Well, God spoke to me, and He said you two are to pray that He stops the snow. If you do, it will stop."

They looked at me as if I were CRAZY. One woman glared at me incredulously, while the other quickly rolled up the window, shutting me out.

Feeling a bit defeated, I returned to the truck, now completely covered in snow, and waited for something to happen.

In just 10 minutes, to my astonishment, the snow turned into a gentle rain, the temperature began to rise, and within 15 minutes, we were back on the road. Less than an half an hour later, the streets were clear of snow!

Now that's GOD working in mysterious and powerful ways.

Finally, we arrived home safely, and after tending to the animals, I made dinner for my family.

What a day it had been, filled with challenges, lessons, and ultimately, a reminder of the power of faith and the importance of listening to the Holy Spirit!

And still wondering how those two ladies felt that GOD took the time to ask them to do something for him???
