Prophetic Words Can Include Homework
When a person receives a true prophetic word from the Lord, there will often be homework to do and some tests to take before it is manifested. "Until the word of the Lord came to Joseph, the word of the Lord tried him." Psalm 105:19. With Joseph's prophetic dream came a lot of homework.
His first assignment was how to handle being betrayed and thrown into a pit. His mid term exam was "how fast can you run from Potiphar's wife?" After being falsely accused, his final test was given in prison. Extra credit was "How do you handle being overlooked when someone else gets out of prison, is promoted to freedom and forgets all about you?" Joseph passed every test, but he still lingered in prison for two more years. When he received his diploma, he graduated to the palace!
Sometimes it's difficult to remember that God has a plan for us. He wants us to be changed into the image and likeness of his Son, Jesus. Often that's a lengthy and challenging process. At the right moment, everything falls into place. I pray time flies for you while God is fulfilling His plan in your life. Be patient with the interruptions that may come along the way.
Dear Friends,
Over the years I have learned that when someone shares a true prophetic word with me, it confirms what the Lord has already been speaking to me. It will usually give me peace or confirmation. When I open my Bible or a devotional book, I say, "Lord, speak to me." Time and again, He does.
I'm convinced that the Holy Spirit wants to speak to us. The years have taught me, "When God speaks, you come alive! When God speaks, healing becomes possible! When God speaks, you're delivered from major strongholds! Storm clouds scatter! Dead dreams are revived! His voice has brought me through Hell. It has changed doctors' reports and added years to my life. Ask God to speak to you today. And then listen for His voice.
Thank you so much for your prayers. They help us hear the Lord say, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:21 (NIV). Thank you for your love and financial support. They keep us moving forward as we seek to advance the Kingdom here on earth.
With Love,
Bill and Dagmar
