Building a Home Sanctuary Because Your To Busy! And we have been Awarded...

I've been incredibly busy with the bake stand, a monthly community highlight, and maintaining the gardens, which are vital to our outreach efforts. Additionally, I've been preparing Dove Cottage for guests during an upcoming church encounter, involving organizing accommodations and meals to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.

It's been a hectic few weeks, filled with challenges and rewards. I've received several invitations to sing the national anthem at events, which is thrilling and humbling.

My recent performance was at the Forgotten War Memorial in Channahon, IL, honoring 13 soldiers and airmen.

Singing there, surrounded by patriots, filled me with gratitude and pride and touched my heart so much I wept...

More performances are coming up, and I'm excited for these opportunities to connect with the community and honor veterans and active-duty military personnel.

I had a golden opportunity to perform twice at the National Bull Riding Championships, and I tell you it was awesome! And those cowboys, they crease their jeans! And they have great manners!

Our monthly bake stand at Dove Cottage raises funds for Be A Hero To A Hero (Operation Gift a Vet), supporting veterans in need. It's a chance to engage with the community, and the support has been inspiring. 🇺🇸

We are honored to receive the DAR Daughters of the American Revolution's Community Service Award, recognizing our efforts. This accolade, symbolized by a prestigious lapel pin, motivates us to continue supporting veterans and their families.

Feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, I asked my husband for a peaceful retreat to escape daily pressures. He responded by creating David's Garden, a serene oasis reflecting his love and thoughtfulness. This space, with its vibrant blooms, soothing water feature, and cozy seating areas, offers tranquility and rejuvenation. As I wander through the garden, surrounded by colors and scents, I find solace and lose track of time. David's Garden symbolizes my husband's support and serves as a reminder of the peace and joy amidst life's chaos. Each visit renews my spirit, turning breaks into cherished moments of bliss.

Roses Lavender Herbs and edible Flowers were planted all around this beautiful spot And He's Wearing The Family Tartan!

I love this garden, surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush greenery. Taking tea here is magical; the rustling leaves provide a soothing backdrop. We once had dinner under string lights, creating an enchanting ambiance with aromas of food mingling with jasmine and soil. It's a fragrant experience, making every moment precious.

This garden is a serene escape from daily life. Its tranquility allows me to recharge and reflect, offering a perfect sanctuary for connecting with nature. The chirping birds and fluttering butterflies add to its charm, making it a haven for relaxation and inspiration. And, reading my Bible where I can be at peace.

Working from home, this space is special. It serves as my retreat, where I can take breaks to clear my mind. The garden transforms my workday, blending productivity with nature's beauty.

The fresh air invigorates me, and the peaceful surroundings boost my creativity, making work fulfilling. This garden is vital to my routine, enhancing my well-being.

I do hope you have a quiet place where you are because it is well worth it.

Well now I'm working for the Encounter and then back to baking for the next sale, and wow, the herb bread is becoming a HUGE hit!

And in the meantime, the church is growing, and we are excited about that. People are hungry for the realms of God. And our Wednesday night Gifts of the Spirit night is soaring. One night, everyone in the house prophesied. Wow! I have a church full of prophets. How exciting is that?
